Blue Purple CVM Bulky Handspun Textured Art Yarn. AR0103TAU.
This yarn is one of my favorites to spin and use. It is a 2 ply Bulky Textured Art Yarn. One ply is pure luxurous CVM Fine Wool. The other ply is CVM with Dyed Teeswster Lock spun randomly into the CVM Fine Wool. The CVM with its intense crimp and sprong has bloomed into a soft and thick bulky yarn.
This begs to be made up into a scarf, shawl, sweater or hat. Anything snuggly and comforting. The last photo is for reference of a scarf that I made from this incredible yarn. It is Tunisian Crochet made using a larger hook.
- CVM Fine Wool 70%
- Dyed Teeswater Locks 30%
- 6-7 WPI
- Yarn weight: 5 Bulky
- 25 yard skein
This yarn has so much texture and color. It is soft with all of the CVM fine wool in the plys. It is a puffy airy yarn and it is super squishy. This has been set in a hot wash and hung unweighted to dry.
It is a bulky textured art yarn that is still very workable on a set of needles for knitting and hooks for crochet. It would also be wonderful for use in textured weaving. I can picture this woven into a shawl, scarf or a wall hanging. Use it as the main yarn in your piece or as an edging or accent for effect.
Recommended size 17+ knitting needle and size Q or larger crochet hook for a more open stitch and drape.
Wider sett for weaving recommended. 2.5 or 5 dpi is my preferred for this yarn.
Hand wash cold with (LIKE) similar colors. Hang or lay flat to dry.
