Description
British Falkland 8 oz Natural White Roving, Combed Top from Alba Ranch. Beginner Wool for Spinning. AR00010BSF.
The base flock of the Falkland wool is Corridale, Polwarth and Dohne Merino. These breeds were developed for dual purpose. The sheep are used for meat and wool production. They are selectively bred for the ability to survive in the harsh climate of the Falkland Islands. Insects and disease associated with sheep are not a problem due to this harsh climate. The wool is almost guaranteed to be chemical free. This wool is processed in the Swiss Alps from the melted snow to retain the whiteness and softness of the wool.
