Luxury CVM Bulky Handspun Textured Yarn. AR0106TAU.
Gray, fawn, beige and browns are from a CVM wool fleece. All the colors are natural and from one sheep fleece. I washed the fleece by hand, combed and spun it into a fine single. I plyed it with a white lace weight alpaca boucle yarn. The result once I washed and set the twist was the CVM bloomed. The plyed yarn turned into a light as air 5 bulky weight textured yarn. This yarn is pure luxury soft of exotic fine wools.
- Wool: CVM and Alpaca
- 8-9 WPI
- 5 Bulky Yarn weight
- 25 yard skein
Suitable for next to skin soft. Light as air and wonderful for scarves and shawls. Will knit, crochet, and weave up nicely. This is a delicate fine fiber that was spun for softness not abrasive durability. It is weft yarn.
Recommended size 17 knitting needle and size Q crochet hook for a more open flowing stitch and drape. 5 or 7.5 dpi is my preferred sett on a rigid heddle loom for weaving with this yarn.
The last photo is for reference of a poncho with long fringe that I crocheted with a Q hook (16 mm) in a single crochet stitch. I love it. It is light as air to wear and was pure joy to crochet. I used approx 350 yds. 300 yds made the poncho (plus size) with a little fringe but that extra 50 yds allowed for the full long fringe that I wanted.
Hand wash cold with (LIKE) similar colors. Hang or lay flat to dry.
